PostGIS is an awesome extension to the PostgreSQL database. It adds support for:
* geometry types
* geospatial functions such as point, line, polygon, distance, area, union, intersection, etc.

Steps:
1. Install PostgreSQL: brew install postgres
2. Install PostGIS: brew install postgis
3. Restart PostgreSQL: brew services restart postgresql
4. Create a test database for PostGIS Extension: createdb postgis_test
5. Connect to database: psql postgis_test
6. Enable PostGIS Extension: CREATE EXTENSION postgis;
7. Check version: SELECT PostGIS_Version();
8. Everything is ready, quit : \q
